ASTM A312 TP321 / GOST 9941 12X18H10T is a seamless stainless steel pipe manufactured to either American (ASTM) or R GOST standards. The material is an austenitic stainless steel stabilized with titanium, which provides excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion after welding and maintains high strength at temperatures up to ~870°C (1650°F). It is widely used in petrochemical, power generation, and aerospace applications where both corrosion resistance and thermal stability are required.

Key Properties
Both pipes share identical physical and mechanical properties:
Stabilization: The addition of Titanium prevents intergranular corrosion (weld decay). Unlike standard 304 (TP304), TP321/12X18H10T does not require post-weld annealing to resist corrosion in the "heat affected zone" (HAZ).
Temperature Resistance: Suitable for continuous service up to ~870°C (1650°F) . It offers excellent oxidation resistance and creep strength at high temperatures.
Corrosion Resistance: Excellent resistance to oxidation, organic acids, and general atmospheric conditions. It is superior to 304/304L in environments where sensitization (chromium carbide precipitation) is a risk.
Applications
Petrochemical: Refinery piping, heat exchangers, and furnace parts.
Aerospace: Exhaust systems and engine components.
Power Generation: Superheater tubes and boiler components.
Cryogenic: Because it is austenitic, it retains excellent toughness at low temperatures as well.
Chemical Processing: Handling aggressive fluids where welding is required without post-weld heat treatment.
