The stainless steel 316L sanitary tube refers to a high-precision, corrosion-resistant, seamless tube, in accordance with the ASTM A270 standard for sanitary applications. It is engineered specifically for hygienic process systems where cleanliness, corrosion resistance, and product purity are paramount, such as in sugar refineries, food & beverage, pharmaceutical industries, chemical processing, and so on. Stainless steel grade 316L, with its added Molybdenum(2-3%), provides superior resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion compared to standard 304 stainless steel. The seamless construction eliminates the risk of crevices and inclusion traps that can exist in welded tubes, ensuring a fully homogeneous structure. The Bright Annealed (BA) finish is extremely smooth, limiting bacterial adhesion and facilitating easy cleaning and sterilization (CIP - Clean-in-Place). ASTM A270 Stainless Steel Sanitary Tube can be polished either on the inside surface, outside surface, or on both surfaces, which can be customized depending upon the needs of the customer. Different Surface Finishes:

• Bright Annealed (BA): The standard and most common finish. Achieved by annealing in a controlled atmosphere (hydrogen) to prevent oxidation, resulting in a reflective, smooth surface. No additional pickling or passivation is usually required.
• Mechanically Polished (MP): After annealing, the tube is polished mechanically to achieve an even smoother finish.
• Electropolished (EP): An electrochemical process that removes a thin layer of surface material, smoothing peaks and enhancing the passive oxide layer. This provides the best cleanability and corrosion release properties.
