The EN 1092-1 F316L Flat Face Flange is a stainless steel pipe flange designed for connecting pipes, valves, pumps and other piping components in accordance with European flange dimensional requirements.
Manufactured from F316L stainless steel (1.4404), this flange combines the corrosion resistance of molybdenum-bearing austenitic stainless steel with the dimensional requirements of EN 1092-1. The Flat Face (FF) configuration provides a flat sealing surface for suitable gasket arrangements and is commonly selected for piping systems where a flat flange facing is required.
The flange can be supplied in different nominal diameters and pressure classes according to project requirements, including PN6, PN10, PN16, PN25 and PN40 where applicable.
F316L is a low-carbon molybdenum-bearing austenitic stainless steel commonly selected for piping components exposed to corrosive environments. The addition of molybdenum provides improved resistance to localized corrosion compared with conventional 304/304L stainless steel grades.
The low carbon content of F316L also makes it suitable for welded piping assemblies where reduced carbon content is required.
The Flat Face flange has a flat sealing surface across the flange face. The FF configuration is selected according to the mating equipment, gasket type and piping design.
When specifying an EN 1092-1 F316L FF flange, the nominal diameter, pressure designation, flange type, facing, material and applicable dimensional requirements should be confirmed according to the project specification.

FF means Flat Face. The entire flange face is generally flat and provides the sealing surface for the selected gasket arrangement.
F316L is the European EN 1092-1 material designation commonly associated with stainless steel grade 1.4404, while 316L is widely used as the general stainless steel grade designation. The exact material specification should be confirmed against the applicable material standard.
Depending on the flange type and applicable EN 1092-1 requirements, common pressure designations include PN6, PN10, PN16, PN25 and PN40.
