ASTM A249 TP316L stainless steel welded tubes are manufactured via precision TIG welding, followed by controlled heat treatment and finishing processes. TP316L is a low-carbon austenitic stainless steel grade under the ASTM A249 standard. The ”L” denotes ultra-low carbon content (≤0.03%), which eliminates intergranular carbide precipitation during welding and heat treatment, delivering superior resistance to weld decay and intergranular corrosion compared to standard 316 stainless steel. The addition of molybdenum (2.0-3.0%) provides excellent resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and chloride-induced corrosion, making it ideal for harsh chemical, marine, and industrial environments. Among all finishing types, ASTM A249/ASME SA249 TP316L bright annealed (BA) welded stainless steel tubes are the high-precision, high-purity variant with a mirror-bright, oxide-free surface, optimized for high-purity fluid systems, sanitary processing, and high-precision thermal equipment.
