Nondestructive examination
Each tube examined by eddy current, ultrasonic or flux leakage methods. Reference notches/holes follow the invoked general requirements.
Hydrostatic alternative
P = 32000t/D psi or P = 220.6t/D MPa; held at least 5 s; need not exceed 1000 psi [7 MPa] unless ordered higher.
Dimensions
Wall, outside diameter, length, ovality and straightness follow the applicable tolerance tables of ASTM A269/A269M.
Repair welding
Only with purchaser approval; repaired tubes marked "WR", reheat treated or stress relieved as required, and retested.
