It is produced in compliance with ASTM A182, the standard specification for forged or rolled alloy-steel pipe flanges, forged fittings, and valves for high-temperature service.
This flange is predominantly used in high-temperature and high-pressure environments across the oil and gas, petrochemical, power generation, and refinery industries. Typical working temperatures range up to 550°C (1022°F), with pressure ratings commonly specified for Class 150, 300, 600, 900, 1500, or 2500 (based on ASME B16.5 or ASME B16.47), depending on the flange dimensions.

Manufacturing Process (Forging)
Billet Cutting: Alloy steel round billets are cut to weight.
Heating: Inductively or gas-heated to forging temperature (~1100°C - 1200°C).
Forging: Hot forged using hammer forging, press forging, or ring rolling to refine the grain structure and eliminate porosity.
Rough Machining: Performed to remove scale and create a basic shape.
Heat Treatment: Q&T as per CL2 requirements.
Finish Machining: Precise CNC machining of the raised face, bolt holes, and back face.
Testing: NDT (Ultrasonic, Magnetic Particle) as per customer requirements.

Operating Temperature: 400°C to 550°C (752°F to 1022°F).
Operating Pressure: Moderate to High (ASME Class 300 to 2500).
