The ASTM A179 Extruded Aluminum Finned Tube is a premium bimetallic heat transfer component designed for demanding industrial environments. 2. Structure & Extrusion Process of A179 + Aluminum Fin Tubes
Our extruded finned tubes feature a highly robust structure, manufactured through an advanced cold rotary extrusion process.
The Base Tube (ASTM A179 Carbon Steel): Serves as the core pressure-bearing component. ASTM A179 seamless cold-drawn low-carbon steel guarantees excellent structural integrity under high pressure and temperature.
The Fin Material (Aluminum 1060 / 1100): Provides exceptional heat dissipation capabilities while keeping the overall weight light.
The Extrusion Process (Bimetallic Integration): Unlike standard embedded fins (G-fin) or wrapped fins (L-fin), our extruded finned tubes are formed by sliding an outer aluminum muff tube over the inner A179 steel tube. Through high-pressure rotary extrusion, the aluminum is squeezed into helical fins. This cold rolling process forms a perfect, gap-free bimetallic bond between the aluminum and the carbon steel base tube, effectively preventing bi-metallic corrosion and eliminating contact thermal resistance.
