Shown in the attached photographs and drawings is one of our large‑diameter carbon steel shell flange rings – a forged/rolled ring designed to be welded to the heat exchanger shell, providing the bolted connection for the channel or cover.

The shell flange ring is a pressure‑retaining component welded to the end of a heat exchanger shell. It provides the bolted flange connection that allows the channel (bonnet) or cover to be attached, sealed, and removed for tube‑side inspection and maintenance.

The flange ring shown in your drawing (with a machined face and bolt holes) is typically an RF (Raised Face) or FF (Flat Face) design – the most common types for large heat exchanger shells.

• Exactly to your drawing: We machine flange rings to your specified OD, ID, thickness, bolt hole pattern, and facing type.

• Fast turnaround: Forged/rolled blanks in common sizes are available; machining typically 2‑4 weeks for large diameters.

• Any material: Carbon steel (SA516, SA105), chrome‑moly (F11, F22, F5), stainless steel (F304, F316L), nickel alloys.

• Component‑only or complete assembly: We supply just the flange ring – or the complete shell assembly – or the full heat exchanger tube bundle with shell, channel, and all internals.

• Full documentation: Material test certificate (MTC), dimensional report, PMI test report (optional), and NDE reports.

To avoid mismatches, we need the following information (send any of these):

1. Original flange ring drawing – best option. We duplicate OD, ID, thickness, bolt circle, and facing exactly.

2. Shell OD and wall thickness – to ensure correct fit‑up.

3. Gasket type – to machine the correct facing.

4. Service conditions – temperature and pressure – to confirm material selection.

• Incorrect OD / ID – must match the shell and channel dimensions.

• Wrong bolt circle diameter – bolts will not align with the mating channel flange.

• Incorrect bolt hole size – too small and bolts won't fit; too large and nut seating is compromised.

• Wrong facing type – RF vs. RTJ vs. FF – must match the gasket.

• Missing heat number stamping – required for ASME traceability.

Every large‑diameter flange ring we ship includes:

• Mill Test Certificate (MTC) per EN 10204 3.1 – chemical analysis and mechanical properties

• Dimensional inspection report – OD, ID, thickness, bolt circle, bolt holes, facing dimensions

• Heat number stamping – for full material traceability

• PMI (Positive Material Identification) – available on request

• NDE – UT, MT, or PT as required

• Third‑party inspection (SGS, BV, TÜV) at buyer's request
