YUHONG'S Designed to meet ASME B16.11 and MSS SP standards, the socket weld 90-degree elbow is a high-integrity fitting used to change the direction of flow in a pipework system by 90 degrees. Designed for socket weld installation, this elbow ensures a strong, leak-proof connection, ideal for high-pressure applications. The fitting can be inserted into the groove of a valve, flange or other pipe fitting, creating a smooth bore and enhancing fluid flow dynamics with minimal turbulence.
Elbows are made from materials such as forged carbon, stainless or alloy steel for excellent durability and corrosion resistance. They are available in sizes ranging from 1/8″ to 4″ NB for a variety of pipe diameters. Socket weld connections also provide additional strength and fatigue resistance, making them suitable for thermal cycling conditions and dynamic loads in industrial environments such as chemical processing, oil and gas, and power generation. These elbows are important for systems where space is limited and piping configurations require smaller radii.
