Spectacle blind flange is a pipe isolation device that is commonly used in the industrial field, especially in the chemical, oil and gas industries. It is a special blind plate designed to resemble the shape of glasses, hence the name "spectacle". This device consists of two parts: a removable blind plate and a ring-shaped gasket. The two parts can be installed or removed independently to allow fluid flow in the pipeline or completely block it when needed.
Due to its unique design, the fluid path can be quickly switched without interrupting the entire system. When the pipeline needs to be completely isolated, the blind plate and gasket can be used at the same time to provide double sealing protection. It is convenient for inspection and maintenance because they can be replaced or inspected without stopping the system operation.
It is suitable for occasions where frequent switching is required but high safety isolation is required. When the pipeline is inspected or cleaned, the pipeline needs to be temporarily isolated. When a temporary change of process or addition of a new process flow is required.
During installation, ensure that all connection parts are properly aligned and well sealed. In terms of maintenance, the status of the blind plate and gasket should be checked regularly to ensure that there is no corrosion or other damage to maintain the safety and efficiency of the system.
