What is tubesheet ?

A tube sheet is a plate which is used to support the tubes in a shell-and-tube heat exchanger. The tubes are aligned in a parallel way, and supported and held in place by tube sheets. The tube sheet is a circular plate which is perforated so that the tubes can fit through the openings.

Description

ASME SA36 carbon steel tube sheet is an economical and practical structural material suitable for tube sheet manufacturing under normal working conditions. The design must strictly follow the ASME specifications, evaluate its applicability in combination with specific working conditions, and select higher performance materials when necessary to ensure equipment safety and durability.

SA36 carbon steel has good weldability, but it is necessary to select appropriate processes (such as preheating before welding, low-hydrogen electrodes) according to the thickness to avoid cold cracks.

Application Medium and low voltage equipment:

1. Heat exchange equipment

Shell and tube heat exchanger: used as a tube sheet to fix and separate the tube bundle and the shell medium, suitable for heat exchange of non-corrosive media such as water-water and steam-water.

Condenser: In power plants or refrigeration systems, it supports the condenser and distributes the cooling medium (such as seawater or fresh water). Attention should be paid to the protective measures in the chloride ion corrosion environment.

Evaporator: used for low-pressure evaporation processes, such as food processing or chemical concentration equipment.

2. Pressure vessels

Low-pressure storage tanks: store compressed air, water or oil products (non-acidic environment), such as factory compressed air tanks and water treatment buffer tanks.

Separation container: gas-liquid separator or precipitation tank, suitable for preliminary treatment of oil and gas or medium separation in chemical processes.

Reaction vessel: carries mild chemical reactions (such as neutral pH reactions) and needs to be matched with lining or coating to prevent corrosion.

3. Boiler and thermal system

Low-pressure boiler components: tube sheets and support frames of non-pressure or low-pressure steam boilers, such as small industrial boilers or heating systems.

Thermal pipe bracket: a structural part used to fix pipes or support boiler ancillary equipment.

4. General industrial structure

Mechanical equipment base: such as the installation base of pumps, compressors or valves, taking advantage of its rigidity and easy processing.

Platform and escalator frame: factory steel structure platform, walkway support, surface anti-corrosion treatment (such as galvanizing or painting) is required.

Pipe flange and connecting plate: flange connection parts in low-pressure pipeline system.

5. Water treatment and environmental protection equipment

Filter equipment tube sheet: used for multi-media filter or activated carbon adsorption tower, fixing filter material delivery pipe.

Sewage treatment tank: structural support of aeration tank or sedimentation tank, attention should be paid to anti-rust measures in humid environment.

Low temperature brittle environment: When the temperature is below -29°C, the impact toughness needs to be verified, otherwise low temperature steel such as SA537 should be selected.
