Embedded Fin Tube ASTM A179 G-Type Fin Tube Fin Aluminium 1010 for Gas-to-Gas and Gas-to-Liquid
ASTM A179 G-Type aluminum 1010 finned tube is a high-efficiency heat exchange element. Its base tube is made of ASTM A179 standard seamless cold-drawn low-carbon steel tube (carbon content ≤0.06%, density about 7.85 g/cm³), which is designed for low to medium temperature (usually below 400°C) heat exchange environment and is suitable for boilers, condensers and other equipment.
The outer surface of the tube is composited with aluminum 1010 spiral fins (purity ≥99.9%, density 2.70 g/cm³) through high-frequency welding or hydraulic expansion process. The high thermal conductivity of aluminum (237 W/m·K) and the expanded surface area of the fins are used to significantly improve the heat transfer efficiency. It is commonly used in air coolers and waste heat recovery systems in petrochemical, power plants and other fields.
Its lightweight structure (difference in density between steel and aluminum) takes into account both strength and heat dissipation requirements, but attention should be paid to the thermal stress that may be caused by the difference in thermal expansion coefficient of steel and aluminum (steel 12×10⁻⁶/°C, aluminum 23×10⁻⁶/°C), as well as the risk of galvanic corrosion of steel and aluminum in humid environments. It is usually necessary to use a galvanized layer or insulating gasket for protection to ensure long-term stable operation.

Application
Power and energy industry: used in thermal power plant condensers and boiler waste heat recovery systems, aluminum fins quickly dissipate the heat of high-temperature flue gas or steam to improve energy efficiency.
Petrochemical: Cooling high-temperature oil and gas or reaction products in air coolers in refineries and chemical plants, corrosion-resistant aluminum fins adapt to corrosive media environments such as sulfur.
Industrial refrigeration: As heat exchange tubes for refrigeration equipment or air-conditioning systems, compact heat exchange is achieved by using the pressure-bearing capacity of steel-based pipes and the high thermal conductivity of aluminum fins.
New energy field: used in solar thermal systems or geothermal stations to transfer and store heat energy, and the lightweight characteristics of aluminum reduce installation complexity.
Shipbuilding and marine engineering: The condensation section of the seawater desalination device protects the steel-aluminum interface through anti-salt spray coating to avoid galvanic corrosion in the marine environment.
