Stainless steel's corrosion resistance stems from its chromium content, which reacts with oxygen to form a protective passive oxide layer on the surface.

During cold rolling, stainless steel passes through rollers to reduce thickness and improve dimensional control. Cold working can increase strength, particularly in grade 301.

For 2B stainless steel strip, cold rolling is followed by annealing and finishing to achieve a smooth, uniform surface.

For BA stainless steel, controlled bright annealing produces a brighter, cleaner surface suitable for appearance-sensitive applications.
