Galvanised Steel Plate Description

Galvanized steel plate is a steel plate with a layer of zinc on the surface. Through hot-dip galvanizing or electroplating, the steel is given a protective zinc layer, which improves its anti-corrosion resistance. This zinc layer can prevent the steel from direct contact with corrosive substances such as air and moisture, greatly extending the service life, especially in harsh environments such as humidity and salt spray.

Steel is prone to rust due to exposure to air and moisture, but the galvanizing process covers its surface with a corrosion-resistant zinc layer that can effectively block moisture and oxygen and prevent rust. This makes galvanised steel an ideal building material in high humidity, coastal areas and industrial environments.

Galvanized steel coils have high adhesion,corrosion resistance, and precisely controlled coating thickness. In addition,Galvanized steel is easy to process and weld, and also has a long service life when exposed to the atmosphere.

• Excellent anti-corrosion:

Galvanised Steel has excellent corrosion resistance,the zinc coating layer has better electrochemical protection on steel than painting and plastic coating.It can last for decades of years without any problem of peeling off,and also higher collosion and scratch resistance.

• Strong durability: ​

Not only will the zinc coating play the role of a physical barrier but also protects the steel underneath through electrochemical reactions (sacrificial anode action) when the coating is scratched or damaged.

• Good workability:

Hot-dip galvanized steel coils maintain the processability of steel, and the zinc layer is thin and uniform, which does not affect the performance of steel during processing and forming.

• Thermal resistance

Galvanized steel has good thermal resistance,can be used for long time without discoloration below 230℃, and it will discolor when it exceeds 250℃.
