Stone paper is made from calcium carbonate, a compound found in rocks, and bio-resin. The two materials are combined to form a non-toxic and recyclable material that has the texture and look of regular paper. The production process involves crushing the calcium carbonate into powder, melting the resin, combining the two ingredients together and then cooling them. Once cooled, the mixture is extruded through rollers which form sheets of stone paper. The sheets are then cut into desired sizes for use as stationery items such as notebooks or cards.

The oily ink does great effect on the stone paper. Its color seems more vibrant and brilliant than wood-pulp paper. For the stone paper density is larger than wood-pulp paper, stone paper perform the same effect while use less ink. We can print stone paper on the rolling press as well as the sheet-fed presses. Foil print including gold and silver is also suitable for business marketing materials.

Stone paper saves trees!

To produce traditional paper it takes 18 grown trees. For stone paper production we use limestone instead of trees! Ton of stone paper vs ton of traditional paper saves oxygen for 40 people every year!

We have learned to recycle each piece of limestone. We find it as waste of most construction works and we make powder out of it to produce fresh & white stone paper.

New type of paper – new type of feelings

When you write on stone paper it feels different compared to traditional paper. Wood pulp paper has grains and they create some sort of friction. With a stone paper notebook you will feel no friction – only pure pleasure.

Traditional paper requires a bunch of acids and bleaches to get it’s whiteness. Limestone is naturally white so no chemicals are needed during production. Also it reduces energy consumption and CO2 emission.
