The CQ800 semi-automatic PET strap winder offers two independent measurement modes: by weight (kg) and by length (meter). Operators can switch between modes at any time based on production or inventory needs. Weight mode is suitable for packaging and shipping according to order weight; length mode uses an encoder to measure wound meters, precisely controlling the length per coil, avoiding material waste and downstream complaints. In both modes, when the preset value is reached, the machine automatically stops and signals. This feature greatly improves batch management, cost accounting, and customer satisfaction, especially for export orders or contracts priced per kg/per meter.

In length mode, an encoder measures spindle revolutions and converts to meters. In weight mode, a load cell (external or built-in) measures coil weight. When the reading reaches the setpoint, the PLC issues a stop command.
Length mode uses an encoder, offering high and stable accuracy - typically <0.5% error. Weight mode depends on load cell accuracy, typical ±1%. Periodic calibration improves precision.
The machine runs in one mode at a time. However, you can wind in length mode then weigh the coil on a separate scale, or vice versa.
It ensures batch-to-batch consistency, eliminates guesswork, and reduces customer complaints, especially for export orders or contracts priced per kg/per meter.
