Product Overview
At stringing sites, hoisting a fully loaded cable drum onto wooden blocks is slow and risky, and an unrestrained reel can spin out of control once the line starts to run. The SI series hydraulic reel stand removes both headaches: its hydraulic cylinders lift the drum clear of the ground in seconds, while an optional foot-operated brake lets the crew dial in the payout speed and keep tension steady as the conductor feeds off the reel. The six models span 50KN to 300KN rated loads and take drums from 2400mm to 5000mm diameter, 1600-3100mm wide, with spindle bores of 76-200mm. Built for repeated duty on transmission, substation and underground cable jobs, the stand travels between reel positions on its own wheels, so a small crew can reposition it without calling for a crane.
