Product Overview

The SLG Vertical Single-Stage Inline Centrifugal Pump is designed for conveying clean water and other liquids with physical and chemical properties similar to clean water.
It is widely used in industrial and municipal water supply and drainage systems, high-rise building pressurization, landscape irrigation, fire-fighting boosting, long-distance water transfer, HVAC circulation systems, bathroom hot and cold water circulation, and supporting equipment applications.

II. Structural Features

1. Vertical Inline Structure
   The pump features a vertical inline design with identical inlet and outlet diameters aligned on the same centerline. It can be installed directly into the pipeline like a valve.
   The compact and aesthetically pleasing design requires minimal floor space and reduces construction costs. When equipped with a protective cover, it is suitable for outdoor installation.

2. Compact and Well-Balanced Design
   The impeller is directly mounted on the extended motor shaft, resulting in a short axial length and compact structure.
   The optimized bearing configuration of the pump and motor effectively balances radial and axial loads during operation, ensuring smooth performance with low vibration and low noise.

3. Reliable Shaft Sealing
   The shaft seal adopts a mechanical seal or a combined mechanical seal configuration, featuring imported titanium alloy sealing rings, medium-duty high-temperature mechanical seals, and hard alloy materials.
   This wear-resistant sealing design significantly extends the service life of the mechanical seal.

4. Easy Installation and Maintenance
   Maintenance can be carried out without dismantling the pipeline system. Simply remove the pump-motor coupling base nuts to extract the complete rotor assembly.

5. Flexible Operation Modes
   Pumps can be operated in series or parallel according to required flow rate and head.

6. Multiple Installation Options
   Vertical or horizontal installation can be selected to meet different pipeline layout requirements.

III. Applications

The SLG vertical hot water pipeline pump is suitable for hot water pressurization and circulation in industries such as metallurgy, chemical processing, textile manufacturing, woodworking, and papermaking.
It is also widely used in boilers, hotels, bathhouses, guesthouses, and urban residential heating circulation systems.

IV. Installation and Operation

Start-up and Operation

1. Rotate the motor cooling fan manually. The impeller should rotate smoothly without any rubbing or jamming.

2. Turn the pump shaft by hand to allow lubricating liquid to enter the mechanical seal faces.

3. Prime the pump and vent air: open the inlet valve to allow liquid to fully fill the pump chamber and pipeline, ensuring airtightness of the suction line.

4. Close the discharge valve to reduce starting current.

5. Switch on the power and briefly start the motor to confirm the correct rotation direction.
   Viewed from the motor fan end, the rotation should be clockwise.

6. Gradually open the discharge valve and adjust it to keep the pump operating under rated conditions.

7. If abnormal noise or unusual sounds occur during operation, stop the pump immediately for inspection.

8. Normal mechanical seal leakage should be less than 3 drops per minute.
   Check motor and bearing temperature rise; it should be below 70°C. If exceeded, investigate the cause.

Shutdown Procedure

1. Close the discharge valve.

2. Cut off the power supply and stop the motor.

3. Close the inlet valve.

4. If the pump will be out of service for an extended period, drain all liquid from the pump.
   

V. Troubleshooting and Solutions

1. Pump Does Not Deliver Water

Possible Causes

• Inlet or outlet valve closed; pipeline or impeller flow passage blocked

• Incorrect motor rotation direction or phase loss causing low speed

• Air leakage in suction pipe

• Pump not fully primed; air trapped in pump chamber

• Insufficient inlet water supply, excessive suction lift, or leaking foot valve

• Excessive pipeline resistance or incorrect pump selection

Solutions

• Inspect and remove blockages

• Correct motor rotation and secure electrical connections

• Tighten sealing surfaces to eliminate air leakage

• Fully prime the pump and vent air

• Stop the pump and inspect suction conditions

• Reduce pipeline bends or reselect an appropriate pump

2. Insufficient Flow Rate

• Pipeline, impeller, or pump passage blockage; scale buildup; insufficient valve opening
