Stab-in Casing Float Collar And Float Shoe API or As required
The Stab-In Float Collar & Shoe technique represents a highly effective approach for cementing large diameter casings. This method involves inserting the drill pipe directly into either the Float Shoe or Collar, and then pumping cement through the drill pipe until returns reach the surface. Afterwards, the cement is displaced to the bottom of the Drill Pipe using a wiper dart before the drill pipe is circulated, retrieved, and removed from the wellbore.
Furthermore, large-sized plugs are indispensable for the cementing process to effectively isolate the cement from the mud and allow for drilled out cement in the casing. The Stab-In Float Collar & Shoe technique is tailored for the cementing of large diameter casings lowered through drill pipe, and requires substantial attention owing to the significant displacement volumes linked to this specific operation.
