Product Introduction 4946239 Valve Cover Gasket is the flexible sealing cushion sandwiched between valve cover and cylinder head of ISF3.8 engine. It closes off the clearance of the joint surface to trap lubricating oil inside the valve chamber and stop oil from seeping outward onto engine exterior. This aftermarket replacement gasket fixes slow oil weeping around the cover edge, dirt buildup on cylinder head and gradual oil consumption rise caused by rubber aging, compression loss and heat degradation of old gaskets.
