The Mean Well DUPS40 is a 24V/40A DIN rail type uninterruptible DC-UPS module designed to work with an external 24V lead-acid battery and a 24V DC power system. Rather than converting AC to AC like a conventional online UPS, the DUPS40 operates directly within a DC power architecture, providing battery-backed DC power when the normal DC bus becomes unavailable or falls outside the specified operating condition.

Yes. The module includes a built-in battery test function and provides Battery Fail and Battery Discharge status indications through LEDs and relay contacts.
Does it provide a remote alarm signal?
Yes. The DUPS40 provides relay contacts for DC BUS OK, Battery Fail and Battery Discharge status monitoring, with the relay contact rating specified as up to 30V DC / 1A resistive load.
Does the DUPS40 protect against incorrect battery polarity?
Yes. The specification includes internal battery polarity detection and protection.
Does the DUPS40 protect against deep battery discharge?
Yes. The DUPS40 includes battery deep-discharge protection and disconnects battery discharge through its protection mechanism when the specified condition is reached.
