Sleeve Type Air Spring for Driver's Seat
The air-sprung driver seat provides a more ergonomic and comfortable design for the operator's workplace, reducing fatigue and work-related health risks.
Therefore, GUOMAT telescopic cab air springs are used in the driver's seat of commercial vehicles. Thanks to their comfortable construction, they can be easily integrated into the seat frame. The force is transmitted from the seat back to the air spring via a control sleeve rod or so-called scissor structure.
Passengers don't feel bumps on the road thanks to the air suspension. In addition, the car does not lean when the driver is cornering, as the suspension always maintains the optimal position of the body. This makes driving easier.

How to Install Truck Cab Air Springs?
Safety is the primary consideration before you begin installation. You must park the truck on a flat, firm surface, engage the handbrake, and securely lock the wheels with wheel chocks. The most important safety step is to properly lift the cab. Always use the vehicle's original mechanical or hydraulic lifting system to raise the cab to a service position and ensure the lifting arm is fully locked. Never work under a raised cab without using a dedicated lift and without locking it, as an accidental fall of the cab could have serious consequences.
After completing the safety preparations, you can begin removing the old air spring. First, locate the faulty air spring located at the connection between the cab floor and the frame. Before removing any parts, the air pressure inside must be released, which can be done by pressing the valve stem or slowly loosening the inflation line connector. Next, locate the inflation line connecting the air spring, usually a plastic quick-connect fitting or a hose with a metal clamp, and carefully disconnect it. Next, using a suitable socket wrench, remove the bolts connecting the lower end of the air spring to the frame and the upper end to the cab, one by one. When fully loosening the bolts, be aware that the spring may shift due to residual stress; carefully remove it.
The next crucial step is installing the new air spring. Before installation, carefully compare the new and old parts to ensure they are identical, and clean any dirt or rust from the mounting bracket. Place the new air spring in the designated position and initially tighten the upper and lower fixing bolts by hand to ensure proper thread engagement and avoid stripping. Then, reconnect the inflation line to the new air spring interface, ensuring a secure and reliable connection. For quick-connect fittings, a clear "click" should be heard; for clamp-type fittings, ensure the clamps are firmly installed. Finally, use a torque wrench to tighten the upper and lower fixing bolts to the torque specified by the manufacturer. Over-tightening may damage the bracket or the bolts themselves.
After completing the mechanical installation, a test and final inspection must be performed. Slowly lower the cab and then start the engine to allow the air system to begin building pressure. Observe whether the new air springs expand normally with inflation and maintain the cab at the correct height. Listen carefully for any noticeable air leaks, or apply soapy water to all connections to check for air bubbles and ensure a good seal. Finally, conduct a short test drive, especially on bumpy roads, to feel if the suspension is working properly, check for any abnormal noises, and confirm that the cab height remains stable both when the vehicle is moving and stationary.
