Working Principle of Industrial Air Springs
Load Loading and Vibration Isolation: When equipment or loads press on an air spring, the compressed air inside is sealed within the air chamber. Upon compression, the air pressure increases, generating a counterforce to support the load.
Unique Stiffness Characteristics: Unlike the linear stiffness of steel springs, air springs possess non-linear stiffness. By rationally designing the volume and shape of the air chamber, a low natural frequency can be achieved near the rated load, resulting in excellent high-frequency vibration isolation.
Height Control: This is crucial in industrial applications. Through an additional height valve or electronic control system, the air pressure within the air spring can be monitored and adjusted in real time, precisely maintaining the height or level of the load, unaffected by changes in load distribution or external disturbances.
