Step-by-Step Installation Guide

This installation guide is designed to help you replace your turbocharger with confidence. Before starting, ensure the vehicle is parked on level ground with the engine off. You will need the following tools: torque wrench, jack stands, oil line wrenches, and diagnostic scan tools.

Step 1: Disconnect the negative battery cable. Drain the engine coolant if the turbocharger is water-cooled.

Step 2: Remove the intercooler piping and air intake connections from the compressor housing. Remove the exhaust downpipe from the turbine housing.

Step 3: Disconnect the oil feed and return lines from the turbocharger center housing. Disconnect the coolant lines if equipped. Disconnect the electronic actuator connector.

Step 4: Remove the turbocharger mounting bolts from the exhaust manifold. Carefully remove the old turbocharger.

Step 5: Clean the exhaust manifold mounting surface. Install the new turbocharger with a new gasket. Torque the mounting bolts to specification.

Step 6: Reconnect the oil feed and return lines with new gaskets. Reconnect coolant lines if equipped. Reconnect the electronic actuator connector. Reinstall the exhaust downpipe and intercooler piping.
