Working Principle & Production Process
This refining furnace takes crude high-carbon ferrochrome and silicon-chromium alloy from the primary smelting furnace as raw materials. It uses electric arc heat to melt the raw materials, and adds quantitative lime and flux for slagging reaction. Through electric silicon thermal reduction reaction, silicon in the alloy is removed, carbon content is precisely reduced, and harmful impurities such as sulfur and phosphorus are eliminated. After slag-alloy separation and fine refining, high-purity ferrochrome products are obtained, which are finally tapped, cast and cooled for finished product output.
