200-30 Polyester Geogrid is an ultra-high-strength uniaxial geogrid designed for
the most demanding soil reinforcement applications in large-scale civil engineering projects.
The "200-30" specifies its immense tensile strength, making it suitable for constructing very tall
retaining walls and critical infrastructure where failure is not an option.
This nomenclature directly refers to the geogrid's ultimate tensile strength per meter of width,
as determined by standardized test methods (e.g., ASTM D6637).
200 kN/m: This is the strength in the primary, longitudinal (machine) direction.
Context: 200 kilonewtons per meter is an extremely high capacity.
To visualize, 200 kN is roughly equivalent to holding a tensile force of 20,000 kg (or 20 metric tons)
for every single meter width of geogrid. This is the working direction of the geogrid.
30 kN/m: This is the strength in the secondary, transverse direction.
