Hole-Basis System & Surface Treatment
Process Type: Gas Nitriding
Total nitriding depth: 0.28-0.35 mm (surface hardened layer: 0.08 mm)
Surface hardness: HV 550-800 (compared to just HV 180 for standard black-oxide finished carbon steel), resulting in a threefold increase in wear resistance
High-temperature resistance: Withstands short-term exposure to 800°C welding spatter without surface damage, whereas standard paint or black-oxide finishes peel and rust immediately upon exposure to high heat
Process integrating millimeter graduations with the coating: Processing sequence: CNC surface milling → deep laser engraving of graduations → overall nitriding. The engraved grooves remain exposed (uncovered by the nitriding layer); with a groove depth of 0.15 mm for the 1 mm graduation lines, the markings remain clear despite welding spatter or repeated cleaning with wire brushes. (In contrast, low-end tables apply the coating before engraving, making the markings highly susceptible to rust and wear.)
