Every 28 mm bore is precision reamed for proper pin fit, while the full 5‑sided working design lets you clamp workpieces from nearly any orientation. Stress‑relieved raw material plus optional plasma nitriding defends against welding spatter and premature warping.

Raw Materials and Stress Relief (Crucial for long-term precision) Q355 Welded Steel Table: Fabricated from steel plate with a dense grid of reinforcing ribs welded to the underside; undergoes vibratory stress relief to eliminate residual welding stresses. Skipping this step leads to warping and loss of flatness after a period of use. HT300 Cast Iron Table: Cast as a single unit using the resin sand process; undergoes annealing followed by dual stress relief (natural and vibratory) to eliminate internal casting stresses. Cast iron offers superior rigidity and vibration damping but is extremely heavy, resulting in high transportation costs. Common issues with low-cost tables from small workshops in Botou: Skipping the stress-relief process results in tables that appear precise upon delivery but deform beyond tolerance limits after 3-6 months of use.
Machining All five faces are machined in a single setup on a CNC machining center; holes are reamed to ensure a diameter tolerance of Φ28.065-28.149 mm (for D10 holes) and a grid spacing of 100×100 mm (±0.05 mm); hole edges are chamfered for smooth pin insertion and removal; working surface roughness is Ra 3.2-6.3 μm; perpendicularity between side and top surfaces is 0.1 mm/200 mm.
Mounting Hole Structure Details
Hole Type: Through-holes (not blind holes); standard D28 holes feature a 45° countersunk chamfer with a diameter of approximately 36mm, facilitating the rapid insertion of locating pins.
Hole Walls: Reamed finish (not merely drilled); drilled holes have rough walls, leading to pin jamming, excessive clearance, and poor repeatability in positioning accuracy.
Hole Bottom: Open at the underside of the table; welding slag and metal chips fall through freely without accumulating or clogging the holes (enclosing the underside would cause debris buildup).
Grid Layout: The standard D28 grid originates from the table corner with a uniform 100×100mm spacing; offset grid patterns are not used.
Inferior Welding Tables: Drilled holes instead of reamed ones, missing chamfers, hole-spacing tolerances exceeding ±0.15mm, and fixtures wobbling when positioned across holes.
FAQ
What is your lead‑time and do you provide inspection report?
Standard sizes: 15‑20 working days; custom sizes: 25‑35 working days. Factory inspection report including flatness, hole pitch and bore tolerance can be provided upon request.
What is covered under warranty?
Warranty covers manufacturing defects such as material failure and stress‑relief related permanent warping. Warranty excludes arc‑burn damage, spatter corrosion, impact chipping and normal wear from daily operation.
Can you mark custom reference lines or datum points on the table?
Yes, custom datum marking is available upon request. Please send over your drawing requirements during inquiry, extra lead‑time and small surcharge may apply.
Will welding heat permanently warp the D28 welding table top?
Proper stress‑relieved tables resist permanent warping, yet local temporary thermal distortion still happens under intense welding heat. Use support blocks to lift workpieces off the table surface. HT300 cast iron performs better against thermal influence than steel versions.
Which Incoterms can you offer?
