This cutlery and tableware grade 430 stainless steel coil is specifically manufactured for the production of forks, spoons, knives, ladles, and kitchen utensils that come into direct and repeated contact with food. The ferritic 430 grade has been the workhorse material of the global flatware industry for decades, combining food-safe corrosion resistance with the hardness and spring temper needed to form thin utensil profiles—all without the cost volatility of nickel-bearing austenitic grades.
Every coil is produced from food-grade certified base metal and can be supplied with documentation confirming compliance with international food contact regulations. The cold-rolled strip is delivered in a soft annealed condition for multi-stage blanking and forming of utensil shapes, or in a lightly skin-passed condition where flatness and surface finish are critical for polished tableware.
Cutlery Formability: Annealed microstructure supports blanking and forming of forks, spoons, and knife blanks.
Polishing Response: Clean surface achieves bright mirror or satin finishes with consistent mechanical polishing.
Uniform Hardness: Consistent temper across coil length controls springback in high-speed utensil stamping.
Detergent and Dishwasher Safe: Resists food acids, salt, and dishwasher detergents without staining or pitting.
Cost Stable Chemistry: Low nickel ferritic grade avoids the price swings of austenitic stainless steels.
