This food-grade 304 stainless steel sheet is engineered for hygienic environments where cleanliness, chemical inertness and durability are non-negotiable. The material is produced from high-purity 304 chromium-nickel steel with a non-porous, impervious surface that leaves no crevices for bacteria, mould or food residue to colonise. Because the sheet is odourless, non-toxic and completely non-reactive with acids and oils, it is safe for direct food contact and is widely trusted across commercial kitchens, dairies, beverage plants and pharmaceutical clean rooms. Every batch is verified against FDA and LFGB food-contact requirements before shipment.
Manufacturing follows strict hygiene-oriented controls: the sheet is annealed in a clean atmosphere, pickled and passivated to remove embedded contaminants, and finished with either a satin No.4 or bright 2B/BA surface. The polished variants achieve surface roughness values as low as Ra 0.4 micron, a smoothness that minimises product build-up and makes manual or CIP (clean-in-place) sanitation fast and thorough. Thickness is controlled tightly so that formed basins, tanks and panels keep uniform walls, and the low carbon and stabilised grain structure allow reliable TIG and laser welding without post-weld cracking in food-processing equipment.
