The GYXTC8Y figure-8 self-supporting drop cable is a rugged, all-in-one aerial solution engineered for FTTH/FTTx access networks. Featuring an integrated steel messenger wire and central loose tube design, this cable enables efficient, cost-effective aerial deployment without requiring separate installation hardware.
The distinctive figure-8 (bow-type) structure combines a steel messenger wire for self-supporting aerial suspension with the optical unit through a continuous PE sheath. This integrated design simplifies installation, reduces hardware requirements, and ensures reliable performance over long-span aerial routes.
The optical unit houses 12 optical fibers within a central loose tube filled with water-blocking compound, providing superior protection against moisture and mechanical stress. The PE outer sheath offers excellent UV resistance, weatherproofing, and long-term durability for demanding outdoor environments.
