POM Description
POM is known as acetal or polyacetal – is a highly crystalline, high-performance engineering polymer that displays a broad range of properties, particularly its low coefficient of friction, excellent wear resistance, high modulus and resistance to many solvents and automotive fuels. Basic mechanical properties of acetal copolymers include high strength and stiffness coupled with good impact strength. Low moisture absorption results in excellent dimensional stability and makes POM an excellent candidate for parts that must exhibit tight tolerances in moist environments. EXCEED CHEM provides a variety of POM grades that span a wide array of applications & industries, due to their high-performance thresholds.
POM Technology & Manufacturing
Our POM project utilizes international leading technology and stable POM production processes. Most key advanced equipment is imported from abroad, featuring high-tech capabilities, superior safety performance, and exceptional stability. Through our advanced processes and equipment, the POM project has obtained 4 national utility model patents and 1 invention patent.
POM Applications
POM (polyoxymethylene) is a high-performance engineering plastic with diverse applications:
Wear-resistant transmission components: Used for gears, bearings, and other parts, effectively replacing metal materials
Automotive industry: Manufacturing fuel system components, half shafts, and other parts that require oil resistance and lightweight properties
Electronic appliances: Insulated enclosures, switches, and components requiring both strength and arc resistance
Precision instruments: Fatigue-resistant, dimensionally stable parts suitable for high-precision applications
Production Capacity & Product Range
Our annual production capacity reaches 40,000 t/a, with modified POM equipment capacity of 1,000 t/a. Zhonghao Company's copolyoxymethylene portfolio includes 4 general grade products (K90, K130-1, K270-1, K520) and numerous special grade products such as high-strength K30, weather-proof, and anti-impact variants to meet diverse customer requirements.
