Testing Principle: The Hipot Tester applies a high voltage, typically higher than the operating voltage, to the insulation of the device or component under test. The tester measures the leakage current that flows through the insulation under this high voltage. By evaluating the leakage current, the tester determines whether the insulation can withstand the applied voltage without breakdown or excessive leakage.
