ASME SA240 316L stainless steel baffle is a fabricated heat exchanger component manufactured from 316L stainless steel plate.
It is mainly used in shell and tube heat exchangers to support tube bundles and guide shell-side fluid across the tubes. The baffle geometry, thickness, tube hole arrangement, and cutout are normally designed according to the heat exchanger drawing and thermal design requirements.
The baffle can be supplied as a standard segmental baffle or other customized configurations according to equipment design.
