The W-02A/B Kerosene Cooler represents a highly specialized engineering solution specifically developed for deployment within the high-throughput downstream environments of modern Crude Distillation Units (CDU). As an essential component of the refinery’s heat integration and product fractionation stream, this heavy-duty shell-and-tube heat exchanger is designed to safely, efficiently, and continuously lower the temperature of highly flammable kerosene fractions extracted from the distillation column before they progress to downstream storage or blending facilities.
Operational maintenance and longevity are integrated directly into the physical design layout. The system includes independent, high-capacity venting (N9, N11) and draining (N10, N12) ports across the body components. This allows for swift, safe isolation and complete purging of fluids during scheduled refinery turnaround cycles. The manufacturer conducts intensive hydrostatic testing to verify absolute zero-leakage performance before shipment. Every unit is delivered with a permanently fixed stainless-steel nameplate (W-02A/B standard specification) providing complete material traceability, fabrication serial records, and operating limit logs. With full joint efficiency execution and complete non-destructive examination (NDE) of all welded connections, the W-02A/B Kerosene Cooler stands as an industry-standard, high-reliability choice for severe refinery process heat transfer duties.
