ASME SA213 TP321 / GOST 9941 08Х18Н10Т / 12Х18Н10Т Stainless Steel Heat Exchanger Tubes are seamless hot-finished and cold-drawn austenitic stainless steel tubes engineered for heat exchangers, boilers, condensers and superheaters..
The tubes feature titanium-stabilized austenitic microstructure, ensuring excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion even under prolonged service temperature ranging from 427°C to 816°C. Outer diameter range: 5 ~ 273 mm; wall thickness: 0.5 ~ 22 mm; maximum manufacturing length up to 36 meters, with random length and cut-to-length production available upon request.

Test Requirements
Tests shall be carried out in strict accordance with ASME SA213 and GOST 9941 specifications. Quality inspection is implemented at every production stage:
Type of Test Standard Parameters / Test Conditions
Hydrostatic Test ASME SA213 / GOST 9941 Pressure ≥ 20 MPa, holding time no less than 5 seconds; no leakage or visible deformations permitted.
Eddy Current Testing (ET) ASTM E309 / ASME SA213 Detection of longitudinal and transverse defects over the full tube length with a detection sensitivity of no less than 0.5 mm.
Intergranular Corrosion Test ASTM G28 / GOST 6032-2017 Copper-sulfuric acid test; exposure duration of 24 hours; no cracks or delaminations allowed.
350°C High-temperature Tensile Test GOST 9941 To be performed upon customer agreement.
Dimensional Inspection ASME SA213 / GOST 9941 Square cut ends with burr removal; tubes with wall thickness above 5 mm to be machined with welding bevel.
Surface Roughness Measurement Ra ≤ 0,8 μm Polishing or bright finishing available on request for heat exchanger tubes with enhanced heat transfer requirements.
All tubes undergo 100% full-length non-destructive testing. Each batch is supplied with an EN 10204 3.1 / 3.2 inspection certificate stating the actual test results.

ASME SA213 TP321 / GOST 9941 12Kh18N10T tubes are used for equipment operating within a temperature range of -196 °C to +600 °C (limited up to +350 °C under corrosive service media):

  • Titanium Stabilization: Titanium content ≥ 5 × (C + N) % inhibits chromium carbide precipitation along grain boundaries, ensuring resistance to intergranular corrosion within the temperature range of 427–816 °C.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What is the difference between TP321 and 12Х18Н10Т?
TP321 is the American equivalent grade (UNS S32100), with virtually identical chemical composition and mechanical properties. The primary differences lie in tolerance systems and inspection methodologies. Products from Yuhong Group comply with both standards concurrently to guarantee dual quality verification.
Are the tubes suitable for high-chloride environments?
For chloride-containing media operating above 60°C, molybdenum-alloyed grades such as TP316L are recommended. TP321 / 12Х18Н10Т performs optimally in low-to-medium chloride environments at service temperatures up to 350°C.
What type of heat treatment is applied?
The tubes are delivered in solution-annealed condition (heated at 1050–1100 °C, air or water quenched). Delivery without heat treatment is available upon special request and must be specified in the purchase order.
What is the maximum tube length you can produce?
Standard fixed lengths range from 3 m to 12 m. Custom orders can be manufactured up to 36 meters. For double-ended U-tubes, the maximum straight leg length is 12 meters with a minimum bend radius of 1.5×D.
Do you provide product certificates?
Each shipment is accompanied by an EN 10204 3.1 certificate (mill laboratory certification) or 3.2 certificate (independent third-party laboratory certification), complete with test reports for all inspections listed in the table of Section 3. The company holds an ISO 9001:2015 quality management system certificate and approval documentation for deliveries compliant with EAEU standards.
Is incoming inspection required at the customer’s manufacturing site?
It is recommended. Sampling incoming inspection is acceptable, since every tube has already undergone 100% non-destructive testing.
