Description
Zinc oxide varistor is the 1 kind of zinc oxide as the main body, adding a variety of metal oxides as additives, after high temperature sintering in the air made of polycrystalline semiconductor ceramic elements. Varistor is the 1 type of voltage limiting protection device. The varistor and the protected circuit element are connected in parallel in the circuit. When lightning overvoltage, electrostatic overvoltage or transient operating overvoltage occur in the circuit, the varistor will quickly drop the voltage at both ends to a relatively fixed safe voltage value with a response speed of nanosecond time by using the nonlinear characteristics of the varistor, thus avoiding the damage of the protected circuit element due to the impact of overvoltage.
