The EPS and Rockwool composite sandwich panel production line is a core piece of industrial equipment in the modern construction materials industry, designed for the efficient manufacture of integrated wall and roof panels that offer thermal insulation, heat resistance, fire protection, and decorative finishes. This line transforms color-coated steel sheets and insulating core materials (EPS or fire-resistant Rockwool) into high-strength composite sandwich panels through a continuous process involving roll forming, bonding, adhesive application, heat-and-pressure lamination, and automatic cutting.

I. Core Production Process and Equipment Components

The continuous production line integrates mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical automation systems with high-precision control technology, comprising the following key systems:

1. Uncoiling & Roll Forming System: Equipped with a dual-head uncoiler, the system smoothly feeds upper and lower layers of color-coated steel coils into the forming machine, where multi-stage rollers precisely shape the steel into preset roof corrugations or wall profiles (such as tongue-and-groove joints).
2. Core Material Handling System:

3. High-Precision Gluing & Laminating System: Utilizes multi-head automatic adhesive spraying technology to securely bond the core material to the inner and outer steel sheets. A long-span double-belt hot-press laminator ensures the panel is flattened and cured under controlled temperature and pressure.

Flying Tracking Cutter & Auto Stacking System: Features dust-free sawing or chip-free flying shear technology, enabling millisecond-precision cutting to customer-specified lengths without stopping the line; finished products are subsequently collected and packaged by an automatic turnover stacker and strapping machine.

II. Core Technical Advantages and Application Value

Superior Fire Resistance and Thermal Insulation: Rockwool sandwich panels meet the highest Class A1 non-combustible standard, making them the preferred choice for industrial facilities with strict fire safety requirements; meanwhile, EPS sandwich panels offer excellent thermal insulation and a lightweight profile, delivering exceptional cost-performance value. High Automation and Efficiency: The entire line utilizes a PLC central control system and a Human-Machine Interface (HMI), enabling fully automated operation with minimal staffing. Production speeds reach 4–8 meters per minute, significantly reducing labor costs.
High Precision and Low Waste: Featuring servo drives and microcomputer-controlled length precision, the system ensures clean, burr-free cuts. The finished panels boast excellent surface flatness, tight interlocking joints, and superior leak-proof performance.

III. Wide Range of Applications

The EPS and rock wool sandwich panels produced by this line are widely used in roofing and wall enclosure systems for modern industrial plants, large-scale cold storage facilities, cleanrooms, modular portable buildings, steel-structure container homes, sports venues, and large commercial complexes. It is a key piece of equipment driving the development of green building and prefabricated construction materials.

With the gear reducer, the production speed of this sandwich panel machine can be 4.27 m/min. After adoption of stepless frequency technology, the motor power 2.2 kw, it generates a pushing force directly and the speed is adjustable between 0-5.12m/min

The series machine adopts a miniature cycloidal-pin wheel reducer, the motor power 2.2kw-3kw, the production speed directly can be 3.38m/min. After adoption of stepless frequency technology, the motor power is adjustable between 0-4.05m/min.

The optimum production speed of plain EPS is around 2.5-3.5m/min, when the raw material is others, the speed could be lower. The assembly line is controlled by the inverter series synchronous controller. Stepless speed regulation, adjustable parameter, word display.
