Product Overview
Marine or chemical environments demand exceptional corrosion resistance where 304 stainless steel may be insufficient. Our SUS316 stainless steel compression springs incorporate molybdenum, significantly enhancing chloride corrosion resistance. Custom wire diameter, OD, spring rate with 48-hour sampling. Ideal for marine equipment, seawater pumps, chemical analyzers, and long-term outdoor exposed components.
Technical Description
In coastal areas, chemical plants, or medical sterilization equipment, spring corrosion is a critical problem. SUS316 stainless steel, with 2-3% molybdenum addition, offers far superior resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride environments compared to 304. We provide custom SUS316 compression springs in full specifications, particularly suitable for seawater-contacted components, equipment cleaned with chlorinated disinfectants, and acidic gas environments.
We tightly control post-coiling heat treatment and passivation to ensure material corrosion resistance is preserved. For applications requiring ultra-high cleanliness (e.g., bioreactors, pharmaceutical equipment), we offer electropolished surfaces achieving Ra≤0.2µm, greatly reducing bacterial colonization sites. All 316 springs come with material certificates, chemical composition reports, and salt spray test data (available upon request).
