Germany brand Tinox plastic grade Titanium Dioxide rutile TINOX R-2280 is a sulfate-route TiO2 grade for high-end plastic applications. Posttreatment in conjunction with excellent base-material quality leads to exceptional TiO2 Pigment properties in pigmentated systems.
Essential unique feature of R-2280 is closing that well known technical gap between SP and CP-plastic grades in most important disciplines.
Excellent heating-resistance and super hydrophobic organic post-treatment leads to lowest volatiles and opens applications in thin-film applications, thin films can be produced while retaining the most important properties such as high opacity, high whiteness and blue undertone.
As a result, TINOX has succeeded in bringing to market SP-plastic TiO2-pigment whose performance is in the range of CP grades while maintaining economic aspects.
