The 5754-H111 aluminum alloy bar is a medium-strength, non-heat-treatable wrought aluminum-magnesium alloy engineered specifically for chemical processing environments and marine industrial applications requiring exceptional resistance to acidic and alkaline corrosion. With approximately 3% magnesium content, 5754 provides optimized corrosion performance superior to standard 5000-series alloys like 5052 in aggressive chemical atmospheres, while maintaining excellent formability and good weldability.
Chemical plant operators, desalination facility engineers, offshore platform constructors, and food processing equipment manufacturers select 5754-H111 aluminum bars for applications where material integrity under prolonged chemical exposure is the primary design criterion. The H111 temper, achieved through strain hardening followed by controlled annealing, provides the softest work-hardened condition with maximum ductility for severe forming operations while retaining the alloy's inherent corrosion resistance.
