Introduction:
Impact crushers machine primarily utilize impact energy—complemented by inter-particle collisions (the "rock-on-rock" effect)—to achieve highly efficient crushing. They offer a high reduction ratio, capable of crushing large feed material (up to 500 mm in size and 350 MPa in compressive strength) into fine finished products in a single stage, thereby simplifying the crushing circuit (e.g., by eliminating a crushing stage).
The finished products feature excellent particle shape, predominantly cubic in form; the output size can be adjusted—either continuously or in discrete steps—by varying the gap settings or rotor speed, allowing the machine to meet diverse specification requirements.
Impact Crusher Structure:
Frame: Heavy-duty welded or cast steel structure consisting of upper and lower housing sections with internal wear-resistant liners; equipped with access doors and hydraulic or mechanical opening mechanisms for quick maintenance.
Rotor Assembly: Comprising the main shaft, rotor discs, and blow bars, this is the core impact component; it features high rotational inertia and requires precise dynamic balancing. Blow bars are typically made of wear-resistant materials like high-chromium cast iron or high-manganese steel and are reversible or replaceable.
Impact Assembly (Impact Rack + Impact Plate): Usually features multi-stage (front and rear) impact racks with angled or arc-shaped impact plates fitted with wear-resistant liners. One end is hinged, while the other allows for gap adjustment via tie rods or hydraulic cylinders; the assembly serves both crushing and overload protection functions (retracting to allow passage of uncrushable material).
Drive System: Motor and narrow V-belt pulleys (or coupling plus gearbox) drive the rotor at high speeds; some models utilize keyless expansion sleeve connections for easy assembly and disassembly.
Adjustment and Protection Systems:
Gap Adjustment: Mechanical screw rods or fully hydraulic systems adjust the position of the impact racks.
Overload Protection: Spring-loaded or gravity-based safety mechanisms and hydraulic relief/retraction systems.
Auxiliary Features: Vibration damping devices, dust sealing, chain curtains (to prevent material splash at the feed inlet), etc.
