SUS304 (EN 1.4301) wire supplied in the annealed condition is chosen when a part has to be bent, coiled or woven after the wire arrives. Annealing removes the work-hardening left by drawing, so the wire deforms with a predictable force instead of cracking at the bend. Cold-headed fasteners, welded frames and general hardware parts. The austenitic 18% Cr / 8% Ni structure welds and polishes without the hardening step needed on martensitic grades.
Incoming rod is checked for grade and surface before drawing. Diameter is measured inline and sampled at the coil ends. Tensile and elongation are tested per heat per ISO 6892-1, and results are attached to the coil label. Final inspection covers surface defects, coil build, and packing before the pallet is closed.
