1)Descriptions of Double helical gears
Double helical gears are composed of two sets of symmetrical gear teeth with opposite helix angles (such as left-handed and right-handed), forming a V-shaped tooth profile structure, which is equivalent to the combination of two mirror-image helical gears.

The axial thrust generated by the two rows of helical teeth cancels each other out, thus the bearings inside the gearbox are not affected by the net axial load.
