The herringbone gear is a special type of gear that combines two helical gears with equal helical angles
and opposite rotation directions into one. Its tooth profile is in the shape of a "person" character.
It transmits power through interlaced helical teeth and eliminates axial forces.
It has the characteristic of continuous meshing, resulting in a high degree of overlap during transmission;
the symmetrical helical teeth on both sides cancel out the axial forces, ensuring strong operational stability;
and during the transmission process, there is little vibration and noise.
Compared with straight gears, the herringbone gear transmission is more stable and has a higher load-bearing capacity;
compared with ordinary helical gears, it can effectively solve the problem of axial force and extend the service life of the equipment;
the transmission efficiency is high, reaching over 98%.
It is commonly used in high-power and high-speed transmission systems, such as the propulsion systems of ships,
the transmission devices of large industrial steam turbines, as well as large mechanical equipment in the mining
