The LD series smart electromagnetic flowmeter is specifically designed to measure the volume flow of conductive fluids in closed pipelines. It is suitable for liquids with a conductivity higher than 5μS/cm. The flowmeter consists of a sensor and a converter, and it is available in two versions: compact and separate.
This flowmeter is widely used in various industries for flow measurement and control purposes. Its applications span across the chemical and petroleum industry, metallurgy industry, water and wastewater management, agriculture and irrigation, papermaking, food and beverage industry, and pharmaceutical industry.
The measurement principle of the LD smart electromagnetic flowmeter is based on Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction. As conductive liquid flows through a pipe, it cuts through lines of magnetic induction in a perpendicular magnetic field created within the pipe. This action generates an electromotive force (E) between a pair of electrodes installed on opposite sides of the measuring tube. By measuring the induced voltage, which is proportional to the average flow velocity of the conductive liquid, accurate flow rates can be determined.
The induced voltage signal is detected by electrodes in contact with the liquid and then transmitted to the converter for intelligent processing. The flow rate information is displayed on an LCD screen, and the flowmeter can output standard signals of 4-20mA or 0-1 kHz for further integration into control systems or data analysis.
