A1:
1. Insufficient engine oil supply or clogged oil passage leads to dry friction between rocker arm friction surface and cam/push rod, rapid ablation wear
2. Long-term use of inferior diesel engine oil with impurities forms abrasive particles to scratch the rocker contact surface
3. Incorrect valve clearance adjustment: too small clearance causes the rocker arm to bear continuous pressure and fatigue fracture; excessive clearance produces violent impact wear
4. Engine over-revving, frequent heavy-load operation aggravates instantaneous impact force on rocker arms
5. Rocker shaft locking loosens, rocker arm swings eccentrically and wears unilaterally
Q2: Can valve rocker arms be interchanged among ISUZU, JMC and JAC engines?
A2: Even if the overall shape is similar, the curvature of the cam contact surface and force arm length are designed according to original valve timing parameters. Cross-model installation will disorder valve opening/closing timing, resulting in power drop and valve collision failure. Always verify the OE number before placing orders.
Q3: Key precautions during installation
A3:
1. Clean cylinder head oil passages and rocker shaft oil holes thoroughly before installation to prevent oil blockage leading to poor lubrication;
2. Distinguish intake rocker arm and exhaust rocker arm strictly for assembly, do not mix installation;
3. Adjust valve clearance strictly according to engine factory standard parameters after assembly;
4. Ensure rocker shaft positioning lock is fastened to prevent axial movement of rocker arms;
5. After assembly, idle the engine for 10 minutes for running-in, listen for abnormal noise, recheck valve clearance if knocking sound exists.
