What do air struts do?
The air strut is a strut that is outfitted with a bladder which inflates with air to raise your vehicle and deflates to lower your vehicle.
How to know that my vechicles whether have ADS suspension or not?
ADS means Active Dampening System. ADS is standard on all GL550 and ML cars equipped with AIRMATIC. ADS is optional on all other GL models like the GL320, GL350 and GL450. You can easily check to see if your car is equipped with ADS by examining the AIRMATIC control buttons that is located on the dash panel below the Air Conditioning controls.
