When the motorcycle brakes urgently, due to the inertial force, a large torque is often generated in the transmission system. When the inertial torque exceeds the torque that the clutch can transmit, the active part and the driven part of the clutch can produce relative slip. In this way, the parts of the transmission system can be protected from damage due to excessive load.
