The weld does not finish the tube — the sizing section does. Without enough sizing stands and a final straightener, welded tube leaves the line oval, bowed or off-diameter, and fails the dimensional checks that precision and structural buyers require.
A welded body carries residual heat and stress that pull it out of round unless it is progressively resized. Too few sizing stands or no final straightener lets ovality and bow persist, and the tube reaches the saw already off-spec.
A 6-horizontal + 6-vertical sizing train progressively controls the finished diameter and roundness after welding.
A 4-roll Turk head with up-down, left-right and rotation adjustment straightens the tube and guides it accurately into the flying saw.

Every ZY20 runs one continuous flow from coil to finished cut tube. An uncoiler feeds strip through a 7-roll precision leveler that removes coil-set, then double-radius forming shapes it in 5 rough and 3 finish stands without edge wave. A 100 kW solid-state HF welder fuses the seam under squeeze pressure with a dedicated seam guide, and an automatic outside-burr unit clears the bead immediately. ≥10 t/h spray plus overflow-pool cooling locks the shape, the 6-horizontal + 6-vertical sizing train sets the diameter, and a 4-roll Turk head straightens the tube before the microcomputer flying saw cuts 4–8m lengths to ±3mm. Overload-protected stands and 42CrMo hardened shafts keep the whole line stable over long runs.
